Feedback from the field indicated that the ceramic coating agent had high viscosity, making application difficult. We were asked to improve its workability.

To address this issue, we focused on developing and adjusting a new, lower-viscosity formulation.
- Re-evaluating the liquid composition to optimize flow properties.
- Adopting innovative raw materials that lower resistance during application.
- Formulation & outdoor exposure testing to ensure no performance degradation.
SUCCESS: Dramatic Viscosity Reduction

Result: We successfully reduced viscosity by 80.5% while keeping the active ingredient concentration and liquid density fully intact.
Balancing Working Comfort & Coating Performance
To achieve both comfortable workability and high-performance protection, we ran continuous optimization cycles at our in-house Application Research Laboratory, validating findings with precise scientific measurements to present objective data.
- In-house Application Testing: Directly evaluating real-world usability.
- Contact Angle Measurement:Equipment: DropMaster 700Test: Pure water (1.0 µl) contact angle and sliding angle (25 µl) evaluation.
- Standard: JIS Z 8741 (1997) specular glossiness measurement.

Rigorous Testing & Evaluation in Our Application Lab
Workability Evaluation Criteria
- Immediate Wiping: Starting the wiping process immediately after applying the liquid.
- 10-Minute Cure: Allowing the coating agent to sit on the surface for 10 minutes before starting the wiping process.
All tests were carried out on a solid black (Color No. 202) car hood to easily detect any unevenness, streaks, or wiping issues.
5-Point Rating: Evaluating both application ease and wiping ease on a 5-point scale.

Test Outcome:
Through repeated rigorous testing, both the application ease and wiping ease improved significantly, making the coating process much smoother and less physically demanding.

By combining scientific measurement with hands-on field testing, we proposed and successfully delivered a new formulation that provides the exact same high-durability protection film as our conventional product, but with vastly superior workability. Delivery to the customer is now complete.
